Lately, I've gotten interested in Celtic Jewelry. I like the swirls, knots, and symmetry of it. It's just beautiful!
I've
been searching the internet for Celtic jewelry. What I've found is a
few sites that have excellent, unique products that can be very
expensive or very reasonable - it's hard to predict. But very few are
located in the U.S.A. The majority, however, offer very similar, mass
produced Claddagh rings, trinity knot pendants and crosses. Most are
in sterling silver, while there are few gold choices.
I did find
a site from India (you'd never guess) offering Celtic jewelry that
seems to have a lot of variety, as well as quality pieces. Of course,
the majority of the sites selling Celtic jewelry are in Ireland, as
that's where it originated. Some are are quite unique and relatively
inexpensive. Sadly, there are a few Irish sites that offer the same
old stuff at inflated prices and think they can get away with it
because it's "authentic" and "from Ireland".
Good U.S. sites are
few, also. Some of the better ones I've found would surprise you.
Websites not necessarily thought of when looking for Celtic jewelry.
All
in all, my interest in Celtic jewelry is just getting off the ground -
like my blog - although I own several pieces. Let me know of some of
your favorite places to shop and I'll check them out and do a review.
